Question by tim: Is Marantz a high quality brand?
I have a laserdisc player that was a Christmas gift in the 90′s. It is Marantz brand. It’s always worked well. I was just curious if Marantz is in general a high quality brand like Pioneer since I hadn’t heard of it before.

Answer by Henry G Yes, they had been around for years making high-end equipment. Cannot swear for their latest offerings however for the consumer driven market, where they have a hard time competing with the Panasonics of the electronics world.
