Question by yael_badash: when listenning to an audio cd on my DVD player (Toshiba sd-37vsr), my amp (Marantz sr-3001) goes into peak?
When I play an audio CD on my DVD player (Toshiba sd-37vsr), my amplifier (Marantz sr-3001) goes into peak. I can’t find a way to reduce the volume of the DVD player, is there any option to reduce the level so that the amp will not go into peak ??
Thank you
Lior

sometimes resistors wired in series into the ‘hot’/conductor
of your RCA leads-might help-not sure what value.
I would be interested to find out what caused this.
Dvd not in wrong sockets?RCA leads are ok?
There use to be attenuators that you set from Tandy/Dick Smith.
(This would save trial and error of finding resistance value)
Not owning the Marantz-nothing in a menu for reducing
input level?
Unfortunately,I cant think of anything else.
